On Sunday we saw another close round where in the end scores from all three competitors were only one point apart. From start to finish the round features heavy banter between GeneralGoose, Toilet Seat and the referees.

All three competitors, GeneralGoose, Toilet Seat and Zpazeagle were confused by the special theme set by the referees. None of them fully grasped the idea that 2D graphical art was forbidden. Many of them heavily argued with the referees about the new rule rather than building. In the end that was one of the main reasons why almost all contestants were running out of time.
Same as in the first round the final scores were extremely close. Only one point separated all three competitors. The biggest disagreement among the three expert judges this round were the scores given to GeneralGoose by head judge DOJEGAN and the scores given to Zpazeeagle by Helba. Judge DOJEGAN commented his decision with the following words “Unfortunately and even though he was most faithful to the theme of the round GeneralGoose made the weakest creation of the entire competition. Even with the detailed descriptions of each food dish it was hard to determine what he wanted to make”.

"Although a deeply disturbing plate with a heap of Santa Clauses in the middle it clearly conveys that it is supposed to be a Christmas dish. You can approximately determine what the plate is meant to represent; lots of green vegetables, a type of mashed potatoes, a brown sauce and the meat made out of freshly butchered Santa Clauses. The salt/pepper shaker and the cutlery are a nice addition, but they don't draw too much focus away from the main dish. The plate is elegantly made with the use of innovative items. It is simple in the execution, not using many items, yet still effective enough. There is beauty in simplicity.

To start off with, I love the background and table decorations on this piece. The tablecloth, the placemat, its all perfect. I especially love the little Christmas tree decoration. Such a small piece, but it adds verticality and additional elements to the Christmas theme the artist chose. The fork and knife are adequate. The only issue I have is the food itself. I honestly can't tell what it's supposed to be, but given the difficulty of the theme and the fact that is obviously SOME type of food, I'm fine with it. Excellent piece, bringing a great composition, appearance, and a fair amount of technique

"Zpazeeagle clearly showed his aptitude for making 2D art in the first round with his excellent lighthouse. Unfortunately that was not allowed in this round. The mug and the background falls heavily into the category of 2D art, which means that items only gain meaning when looking from above. The only reason he was not disqualified from this round is that Zpazeeagle made a good main dish. All the food is wonderfully made with various items and lighted for a interesting colour effect. Food composition and construction is the best of the fourth round. Where the creations starts having problem is everything else. The 2D background heavily reduces the overall point score as it doesn't stick to the theme Plate is very poorly made. Cutlery, although using the same method as in the Christmas dish is much more simplistic. All the background items draw away too much attention from the main dish which should be the star of the creation.

"The best part of this work is the background and composition. It certainly does an excellent job revealing to you that you are looking at a table in a room with a window / door. However, the centerpiece of the work starts to lose me some. The mug just looks somewhat off. I understand the creator was going for perspective, but something about the slants and angles do not look quite right. The fork is a little odd (at least I think it's a fork) and the plate is not in a proper shape. I feel like I could guess all day at what the food in question is, but considering the difficulty of this theme it's no real issue to me. Overall a nice composition with good technique, but the perspective came off a little wrong and the shapes don't look quite right with some of the elements."

“Unfortunately and even though he was most faithful to the theme of the round GeneralGoose made the weakest creation of the entire competition. Even with the detailed descriptions of each food dish it is hard to determine what each dish is supposed to represent. I cooked most of those dishes and they look nothing like the representations made by GeneralGoose. To me it seems more like an unorganised storage room than a plate full of dishes. The builder uses some interesting items for plates, but the execution is very poor, It certainly doesn't help that all plates are missing the bottom part. Even though it is a nice idea to include the flags they are barely visible beneath the confusion on the plate. The builder uses some interesting ideas, wooden poles for spaghetti or sandbags for dumplings, however that is not enough to save the creation. The worst thing is he manages to insult an entire country of Nigeria, which has a rich selection of delicious food, by simply stating it is poor and has no interesting dishes. Even though Nigeria is one of the richest African countries,”

"So, this particular work was a creation of extremes. First off, I have to say I like the multiple dishes, and the fact that the title had the names of each dish made it the only work where i could tell what the food actually was. That said, the flags depicting each food's nationality were somewhat hidden, and I wouldn't have even noticed the flags had the title not mentioned the countries in question. But it was a neat little detail. The background for the piece is what hits me the hardest though. Maybe just some tile, black or concrete, to make it not look unfinished. The green grass is just far too blatant surrounding each dish. So overall, excellent job with technique and sticking to the theme for the food, but the final appearance seemed to lack a background. A fine work in the details, but struggled with missing the big picture for the details."
